OBESITY! AND HOW IT CAN BE PREVENTED

Men and woman who are obese or fat are under strong pressure to get slim or lose weight either to look attractive or desirable in the society.Because of these perception about body weight and shape,an enormous variety of drugs offering instant weight loss and a wide range of magic solution appear in books and magazines.Mostly all these drugs are ineffective and are full of empty promises which only enrich the promoters but do much less for the buyer.
The first thing to have at the back of your mind is that there is no perfect body weight but only preferred body-weight range.It is preferred because if your weight lies in this range you are likely to likely to developed high blood pressure,diabetes,and some other diseases.However,these range may not be accurate for some people.
Knowing your body mass index (BMI) will enable you to know if your weight lies in the preferred body weight range.The BMI is obtain by dividing your weight in killogram by your height in meter square.For most woman if your BMI lies in the range of 19-24.9,it is in the preferred range for health and appearance.If it lies witin 25-29.9 range you are overweight and may consider in losing weight by increasing your exercise and choosing a weight loss diet plan.But if your BMI is 30 or more you are overweright and definitely obese.
Obesity occurs when over a period of time you ingest more energy than the one you used off and these is pratically done when you take in foods that are high in calories.Obesity is a health hazard! some people are more likely to become obese if there parent are obese or fat.Middles age obese woman and man are more likely to develop diabetes and have a threefold chance of developing heart disease compare with those whose BMI is in the normal range.
Weight loss diet plan is the best way to reduce your obese nature.Though it is not easy but it is far more better than drugs.Drugs do not only help for a short period of time (2-3 weeks)but also has side effects.Sucessful weight loss diet plan can be attain by taking control of the diet you eat.Achieving this can be frustrating and can seem to take along period of time but can be rewarding on the long run.If you measure your weight on a scale you may find you do not lose weight in some weeks.This is normal and is one reason that frequent weighing on a weighing scale is not recommended.Successful weight loss is maintanance of body weight in a healthy range.
